In VivoTocainide (100 mg/kg) effectively suppresses ventricular ectopic activity in unanesthetized dogswith coronary occlusion. Termination of tocainide infusion in both digitalis toxicity and coronary occlusion models results in prompt return of ventricular ectopic activity.
